There are two engine options available with the 2020 Chevy Silverado 3500. The standard engine option is a 6.6L gasoline V8 engine featuring best-in-class standard torque. This powerful engine pairs with a six-speed automatic transmission to deliver 401 horsepower and 464 lb-ft of torque. The engine design utilizes a direct injection fuel delivery system with variable valve timing technology. For maximum durability, Chevy uses a cast iron block for their 6.6L gasoline V8 engine.

An optional Duramax® 6.6L Turbo-Diesel V8 engine is also available in the 2020 Chevy Silverado 3500. This 6.6L Duramax engine pairs with an Allison® 10-speed automatic transmission to create 445 horsepower and 910 lb-ft of torque. This powertrain design uses a segment-exclusive air induction system with a variable geometry turbocharger to create massive performance potential without sacrificing durability.

Increased Towing Capability
The 2020 Chevy Silverado 3500 is ready to haul anything you need to and from the jobsite. With some configurations of the 2020 Chevy Silverado 3500, the Duramax Turbo-Diesel is capable of an impressive maximum towing capacity of 35,500 pounds.

For more visibility, Chevy offers a camera package displaying up to 15 different camera angles to assist drivers.
