More Standard Features in the 2023 Chevrolet Malibu
The Chevrolet Malibu has been a favorite for drivers near Youngstown since it returned from its hiatus in 1983. The 2023 Malibu continues its tradition of being a comfortable, well-equipped, and affordably-priced midsize sedan.
For the 2023 model year, Chevrolet added more standard features and the automaker stopped outfitting the vehicle with the 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. Now, all Chevy Malibu models come with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder with a continuously variable transmission that delivers 160 horsepower. The midsize car has an EPA-estimated fuel rating of 27/35 MPG, which is better than average for a vehicle in its class.
Safe Driving Thanks to Driver-Assistance Technology
Chevrolet offers the Malibu in four trims: LS, RS, LT, and 2LT. The base LS trim has the Chevy Safety Assist features that include Forward Collision Alert, Front Pedestrian Detection, and Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning. Additional safety features include Teen Driver, Buckle-to-Drive, a Rear-Seat Alert, and a Rearview Camera. Shoppers can add the Driver Confidence package with Rear Park Assist and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert.
Drivers who choose any of the other three trims get the same safety features, and the Driver Confidence package includes Lane-Change Alert with Blind-Side Monitoring. The 2LT trim has an available Cruise package with Adaptive Cruise Control and Automatic Parking Assist.
Interior Tech Features Provide Infotainment and Comfort
The Chevrolet Malibu tech features keep the driver and passengers safe, comfortable, and informed. All trims come with an 8.0-inch infotainment system touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. The Malibu also has a USB port and six speakers.
The LT trim has remote start, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, and dual-zone automatic climate control. The 2LT trim adds an 8.0-inch digital gauge cluster, a USB port just for charging, wireless device charging, and a nine-speaker Bose sound system.
Chevrolet outfits the Malibu with several comfort and convenience features, starting with the durable cloth seats in the base trim. The LS trim also has proximity keyless entry and power side mirrors. The sporty RS trim has a power-adjustable driver’s seat, while the LT trim gains heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a remote start. Drivers who want the LT trim can add special styling packages like the Sport Edition and Midnight Edition with black trim and 19-inch wheels, or the Redline Edition with black and red trim.
The 2LT package has luxury features that include perforated leather seats, ventilated front seats, and a power-adjustable passenger seat.
